Dear son or daughter,
Your mom is a slacker. At least about documenting things. I'm very very sorry that you'll probably never have extensive scrapbooks documenting your precious life. You'll probably only have tons of unedited photos on an external harddrive. I love you no less though, I promise.
XOXO,
Your Mom (and current incubator)
So I think last time I posted to this blog I was 6 ish weeks and feeling pretty cruddy. Things have changed thankfully for the better. :) I'm 14ish weeks now. Let me see if I can catch up.
On January 5th I had my first appointment with the midwife (Soheyl). She's very nice and very supportive. They all looked at me like I had two heads when I said I had a c-section with Dash because of size. And especially when I told them the size he was. I have my next appointment February 6th, and we'll schedule the big ultrasound at that appointment.
I told my boss and he was supportive. I also told my coworkers and friends and they were all very excited. I think I've told everyone now, I'm afraid someone is going to pop up who I haven't told and have their feelings hurt. I hope that's not the case!
Morning sickness dropped off at 8.5 weeks, thankfully, and heartburn dropped off around 10 weeks. I'm sure that one will come back though.
We heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks and 6 days, whatever day that was. (Sorry!) I heard it again around 13.5 weeks so I guess we're officially in the clear now. That was my go ahead for telling everyone.
I think that's the end of the update. I'm pretty sure I've completely progressed out of normal pants into maternity pants. Yay! (and by yay, I mean, boo.) I need to get a few more pairs, the ones I have that fit have a weird belly panel and Motherhood has a cool new "secret belly" now that rocks. Hopefully in the next month or so I can pick a pair up. Good ol' Motherhood. :)
